Summer 2022 COIVD 19 Updates.

We are sending this update with pertinent and time sensitive information regarding rising numbers of local COVID 19 infection trends and new measures we are temporarily putting into place for in-office visits and for everyone's safety.

Starting on Friday, May 20th ALL IN PERSON psychotherapy sessions will adhere to the following expectations and commitments on behalf of both patients and providers:

1. You will receive a screening tool 24-48 hours in advance via notice in Simple Practice that will alert you to complete the "In Office Session COVID Screening Form" for each time you are scheduled for an in office session. Please take a few moments to complete this questionnaire each and every time. If you have not completed the screening prior to your session, your provider will utilize the first few minutes of your in person session to review and complete the questions with you in real time. If you are having any platform issues or broken links getting to the screening after you have been prompted via email, please reach out to us. Also, please check your Spam or Junk folder for these and other alerts from Obsidian via Simple Practice.

2. Do not bring visitors/guests to your appointment who may spend your session time in the waiting room. If your visitor is your sole form of transportation or an approved family member who aids in your care taking, please be aware that visitors or chaperones must wear a mask at all times in the hallways, elevator, and in the Obsidian Care Collective waiting room.

3. In person sessions will now require the use of masking during the entire session by both the provider and the patient regardless of vaccination status. If you do not have a mask, we will provide you with one for your session. If you feel more comfortable seeing your provider's full face, range of expressions, and/or are uncomfortable in masks, we completely understand! We can convert your sessions temporarily to telehealth sessions which occur without needing to be in person and do not require masks.

4. We will begin to use Lysol disinfectant spray moderately between in office sessions over seating areas, door knobs, or other areas that may have trace amounts of virus or bacteria that could spread COVID 19. We will do our best to source products that have the least amount of artificial scents. If you have environmental sensitivities, please discuss best approaches to your care with your provider.

5. Please use hand sanitizer upon entering our waiting room. We will have some sanitizer for you to use or you may use your own.

As always, please do not hesitate to ask us about these temporary changes. We will continue to use our Air Purifier and allow for safe physical distancing in session. Your provider has been fully vaccinated and boosted and adheres to safety protocol in our personal lives to reduce the transmission of COVID 19. We are happy to discuss the safest and most comfortable way for you to receive your care during this time.
